Staff made a follow-up visit to the family of Samira G.A.  Her and her six orphans, aged between 5-12 years, live with her husband's family.  This extended family share one room which is devoid of the most basic household necessities.
 
The widow survives on help she receives from her father-in-law.  This ranges from 30,000 IQD – 40,000 IQD approx. £20 - £25) per month, She does not receive any social welfare assistance as currently the authorities are not accepting any new registrations.
 
Samira’s family urgently need: -
 
- Ongoing monthly sponsorship of 25.000 IQD (approx. £ 15) for each orphan (6).
 
- A Donation of 300.000 IQD (approx. £200) to buy a cooker.
 
- A Donation of 150.000 IQD (approx. £100) to buy an air cooler.
 
- A Donation of 250.000 IQD (approx. £165) for the purchase of a refrigerator.
 
The branch staff appeal to all benefactors to extend a helping hand to this poor lady who is in desperate need for help.
