Najaf Branch

Among a field visit made to families registered with the Najaf branch, was a visit to the family of Batul H. Sh. who is raising her three orphans alone following the death of her husband.  She and her daughters live in a simple one room dwelling.

Two of her daughters attend school.  The third daughter suffers from damaged brain cells which has left her unable to walk.  She has been taken to doctors for treatment at a cost of 50,000 IQD (approx. £35) a visit.

This family has no fixed income and is dependent on well-wishers to cover their essential needs of food and clothing. They have applied for social security benefits and are awaiting to be allocated them.

Meanwhile, they need:

- Monthly medical sponsorship of 50,000 IQD (approx. £35) to pay for the daughter’s treatment.

- A donation of 100,000 IQD (approx. £65) to buy an air cooler.

Branch staff calls upon good people to help this suffering family.
