Our staff visited the destitute family of Samira H. S.  She lives with her husband and two sons, one of whom is mentally retarded, and the other deaf and mute. They live in a simple shanty dwelling lacking many essentials like a washing machine, cooker, television and refrigerator.

As the sole provider, she is responsible for the care of her elderly husband and her children.  She earns a meagre living by working in a small school shop for 300,000 IQD (approx. £200) per month.  This does not suffice to cover living costs.  The family only manages to get by through the help of well-wishers.

They need:

- A donation of 165,000 IQD (approx. £110) to buy a cooker

- A donation of 210,000 IQD (approx. £140) to buy a washing machine

- A donation of 160,000 IQD (approx. £105) to buy a television

- A donation of 290,000 IQD (approx. £195) to buy a refrigerator

- A donation of 400,000 IQD (approx. £265) to buy an air conditioner

Branch staff appeals to those of compassionate hearts to extend a helping hand to this destitute family to overcome life's difficulties.
