Branch staff visited the family of widow Nizha L. A. who lives in difficult circumstances following the death of her husband.

Nizha is entrusted with the care of her five orphans aged between 10 and 20 years old, some of whom are still at school and need educational supplies to continue their studies. The family receives social security benefits of 500,000 IQD (approx. £335) every two months which is insufficient to pay all their living needs.

They live in an inherited dwelling lacking many household essentials such as a cooker, air conditioner and mattresses and bedding.

The widow has shown her readiness to work by selling bread to earn an income, but she needs a large oven and a bread-kneader to earn more money to provide for her children.

Their immediate needs:

-  Monthly sponsorship of 25,000 IQD (approx. £15) for each orphan (5)

-  A donation of 165,000 IQD (approx. £110) to buy a cooker

-  A donation of 150,000 IQD (approx. £100) to buy bedding

-  A donation of 400,000 IQD (approx. £265) to buy an air conditioner

Branch staff implores good people not to stint in helping this widow overcome some of life's difficulties.
