The branch staff visited the home of the widow  (Raja.K.J) and found that she was suffering from the hardships of life. She supports her four orphans (agesd 11-18) after her husband's death, some of them still at school. This widow suffers from hypertension, diabetes and needs continuous treatment.

 This family lives in a simple rural accomodation that lacks many living necessities such as fans, freezer and flooring as they cannot afford them.

This widow receives a salary from the Department of Social Welfare every two months amounting to 400.000 Iraqi dinars, which does not cover all their needs for food and medicine and have no income other than the help of benefactors.

This family needs: -

- Monthly medical assistance of 50.000 IQDs (approx £35) per month to buy treatment.

- A monthly orphans' assistance of 25.000 IQDs (approx £17) for each orphan.

- Financial assistance of 60.000 IQDs (approx £40) to buy ceiling fans.

- Financial assistance of 600.000 IQDs (approx £400) to buy flooring for the house.

The branch staff appeal to all benefactors to extend a helping hand to this widow to help her support her orphans.
