Basra Branch
Among field visits undertaken by branch staff was a visit to Karimah H M , whose right leg was amputated, and who now lives in a rented dwelling.
During the meeting, Karimah spoke about her suffering since losing her leg through diabetes.
She needs constant treatment and cannot even perform her basic private tasks, so she is cared for by her daughter.
She is seeking help to get an artificial limb so that she can become independent and perform her duties and other living requirements.
The family has no income except for a two-monthly pension they receive of 450,000 IQD (approx. £32), which is not enough to cover basic living expenses.
She needs:
A donation of 300,000 IQD (approx. £215) to pay for the artificial leg to be made for her specifications.
A sponsorship of 100,000 IQD (approx. £70) for monthly treatment
A donation of 500,000 IQD (approx. £360) to buy an orthopaedic bed
Branch staff appeal to good people to lend a hand to this woman so she can become self sufficient and regain her dignity and pride.
