Among visits and reviews made by our branch staff was one made to the family of widow Raja K J whose suffering under cruel living circumstances continues.
She lives with her family in a simple shanty dwelling lacking many necessities, and is entrusted with the care of her orphaned sons, some of whom are still in school.
They have no income except basic social welfare benefits and the help of well-wishers, which is not enough to provide for and assure their living needs are met.
The widow, herself, suffers from high blood pressure and diabetes, and requires constant medical attention and treatment.
She is in urgent need of:
- An ongoing monthly sponsorship of 50,000 IQD (approx. £35) to pay for medical treatment
- Ongoing monthly sponsorship of 25,000 IQD (approx. £18) monthly for each orphan
- A donation of 60,000 IQD (approx. £42) to buy a ceiling fan
