Basra Branch:

Staff from Basra Branch visited the family of the widow Majida A, who lives in  poverty and destitution.

Majida has become the sole provider for her four orphans - some of them still at school – following her husband's death.

This family lives in a house that lacks many basic necessities. In addition, two of her orphans are ill.  One of them suffers from Aneurysm Anemia and needs constant treatment.  The other suffers from persistent sand formation in the kidneys, and also needs continuous treatment.

This family has no income except for the help they receive from benevolent people.

They are in desperate need of: -

- Ongoing monthly medical sponsorship of 50.000 IQD (approx. £35) for each of the two sick orphans.

- Ongoing monthly sponsorship of 25.000 IQD (approx. £18) per orphan (x 4)

- Ongoing monthly of 50.000 IQD (approx. £35) for the purchase of food.

 - A donation of 165.000 IQD (approx. £120) to buy a cooker.

 - A donation of 265.000 IQD (approx. £19) to buy a refrigerator.

- A donation of 150.000 IQD (approx. £108)to buy mattresses and bed covers.

The staff of the branch appeal to all good-hearted people to lend a hand to this penniless widow to help her support her orphans.
