Basra Branch:

Staff from Basra Branch visited the family of the widow Fatima. K.M who is living in poverty and destitution.  Since her husband’s death she has been the sole provider for her three orphaned children, who still attend school.  One of her sons suffers from slow growth and requires continuous treatment.

Fatima and her children live with her parents in a room that lacks many basic living necessities which she cannot afford to buy, due to her extreme poverty. This family has no income except for the help they receive from time to time from kind people.

This desperate widow has expressed her willingness to work as a seamstress in order to earn an income and support her family.  To achieve this, she will need to buy a sewing machine.

This family are in desperate need of: 

- Ongoing monthly medical sponsorship of 25.000 IQD (approx. £18) per orphan (x3)

 - A donation of 165.000 IQD (approx. £118) to buy a cooker.

 - A donation of 185.000 IQD (approx. £132) to buy a washing machine.

 - A donation of 265.000 IQD (approx. £190) to buy a refrigerator.

- A donation of 200.000 IQD (approx. £145) to buy a sewing machine.

 The staff of the branch appeal to all benevolent people to lend a hand to this widow to help her support her orphans.
