Branch staff visited the family of Ms Asmaa F.M, who suffers from destitution and poverty.
This lady is responsible for the sole care of her four orphans following the death of her husband. Two of the children still attend school.
The widow and her children live in Al Mishkhab area. They share a single dilapidated room that is unsuitable for living purposes. They cannot afford to buy the most basic requirements for a decent standard of living (a refrigerator, a cooker, an air cooler).
This family has no income other than a nominal social welfare benefit which they receive every two months, and which is insufficient to meet their needs in terms of food and other basic household needs.
This family urgently needs : -
- A donation of 200.000 IQD (approx. £140) to buy a refrigerator.
- A donation of 200.000 IQD (approx. £140) to buy a cooker.
- Ongoing monthly sponsorship of 25.000 IQD (approx. £18) per orphan (x4) per month.
- A donation of 150.000 IQD (approx. £110) to buy an air cooler.
The branch staff appeal to people of good hearts to extend a helping hand to this lady, and help her support her orphans.
