Basra Branch:

The branch staff visited the widow, Wassila K.H, and her family who are suffering as a result of harsh living conditions.

Wassila was left to take care of her four orphans following the death of her husband, who was missing.

They live in a rented rundown house that lacks most basic necessary commodities, 

Wassila suffers from kidney failure, which means that she has to have dialysis twice a week on an ongoing basis. This has been a big financial and psychological burden for the entire family. 

This family has no financial income except the daily wage one of the sons earns as a porter.  This is insufficient to meet their needs in terms of food and the mother’s treatment

This family needs: -

- A medical sponsorship of 50.000 IQD (approx. £35) per month to pay for medical treatment and medical reviews for the sick mother.

- Monthly sponsorship of 25.000 IQD (approx. £18) per orphan (x 4) per month.

- A donation of 165.000 IQD (approx. £120) to buy a cooker.

- A donation of 188.000 IQD (approx. £134) to buy a washing machine.

- A donation of 200.000 IQD (approx. £140) to buy an air cooler.

- A donation of 135.000 IQD (approx. £96) to buy a TV set.

The branch staff appeal to people with compassionate hearts to lend a helping hand to this family suffering from disease and need.  Please help bring a smile to the faces of these innocent children.
