Sadr City Branch:

Branch staff visited the family of Mrs. Alawiya Y.L to get acquainted with their living conditions. They found that the husband is an elderly man.  He works as a builder and the family has no other source of income, or anyone, to support them.
 
The wife supports her young daughter, who is mentally retarded and suffers from chronic epilepsy, a psychological condition that requires regular treatment.
 
The mother supports her son who suffers from chronic asthma. She is also responsible for her divorced daughter and her three children.
 
The children still attend school. The house they all live in lacks the most basic necessities.
 
This family needs:
 
- Ongoing monthly sponsorship of 50.000 IQD (approx. £35) for the treatment required by the sick children.
 
- Ongoing monthly sponsorship for the education of each orphan (x4) of 25.000 IQD (approx. £18) per month.
 
- A donation of 100.000 IQD (approx. £70) to buy school supplies.
 
- A donation of 250.000 IQD (approx. £180) to buy a refrigerator.
 
- A donation of 150.000 IQD (approx. £110) to buy a cooker.
 
Branch staff and Alawiya appeal to people of charity to help this family.
