The branch staff visited the family of the widow Laila, A.A. They found that they were suffering under difficult living conditions.
The widow has been taking care of her three orphans following her husband's death.
The family lives in a rundown house that lacks many basic necessities because the mother has no income and cannot afford to buy them.
Laila receives an assistance from the Social Welfare Department every two months, which is insufficient to meet their needs for food. They survive on help from kind hearted people.
This family needs: -
- Ongoing monthly sponsorship for each orphans of 25.000 IQD (approx. £18) per orphan per month (x 3)
- A donation of 165.000 IQD (approx. £120) to buy a cooker.
The branch staff appeal to all good people to help this widow support her orphans.
