Our staff visited the family of a divorced lady named Siham R.J, who suffers as a result of difficult living conditions.
This woman has supported her two children aged 10 and 16 years following the divorce from her husband. They have no income other than a benefit from the social welfare department every two months and help from generous benefactors, all of which is not enough to meet their needs.
The woman suffers from a disease that has led to the removal of the gallbladder and requires that she undergoes treatment monthly.
The family lives in a rundown house that has a leak and is in need of repair.
This family needs: -
- Ongoing medical sponsorship of 50.000 IQD (approx. £35) per month to pay for Siham’s medical treatment.
- A monthly sponsorship of 50.000 IQD (approx. £35) to buy food items.
- A donation of 500.000 IQD (approx. £350) to repair the house.
The staff at the branch appeal to good-hearted people to extend a helping hand to this poor family to overcome the hardships of life they face.
