Among the field visits made by branch staff was one to the family of destitute Fatima K, where they found that she lives in a room in her husband's family's house lacking the simplest elements of well-being.

Her husband earns a daily wage which is insufficient to meet the needs of his family.

The children suffer from weak hearing and speech, and need special earphones.

This family has no fixed income and receives no social security benefits.  They are reliant on the help of well-wishers to get by.

They need:

- Ongoing monthly sponsorship of 60,000 IQD (approx. £40) to buy batteries for the earphones

- A donation of 250,000 IQD (approx. £180) to buy a wardrobe for the family.

Branch staff hope that kind hearted people will extend a hand of help to this family.
