Basra Branch:

Our staff visited the family of the Latifa J.T, a divorced lady who is suffering due to her difficult living conditions.

Latifa lives with her mentally ill daughter in a rundown house built without planning permission.  The house lacks the most basic necessities.

This poor mother suffers from hypertension and diabetes and needs constant treatment.  They have no income other than a simple pension of 375.000 IQD (approx.  £260) and help they receive from time to time from benevolent people.  This is insufficient to meet their living costs and pay for medical treatment.

This family needs:

- A donation of 50,000 IQD (approx. £35) to buy a roof fan.
- A donation of 100,000 IQD (approx. £70) to buy mattresses.
- A donation of 265.000 IQD (approx. £180) to buy a refrigerator.
- A donation of 195.000 IQD (approx. £135) to buy a washing machine.

Staff from the Branch appeal to good-hearted people to help this family overcome the difficulties of life they are facing.
