Staff from the branch visited the family of Mrs Athraa J.K, and found that she was living under difficult circumstances, together with her husband and three children.

The children had to leave school due to the poverty and destitution the family is facing.  The husband earns a daily wage, which does not meet their basic needs.

This family lives in simple rented accommodation costing 150.000 IQD (approx. £105) per month. The house is devoid of many basic facilities as the family have no income resources apart from help they receive from well-meaning benefactors, and this is insufficient to meet their requirements.

This family needs:

- A donation of 150,000 IQD (approx. £100) to buy a simple cooker.
- A donation of 175.000 IQD (approx. £120) to buy a washing machine.
- A donation of 250.000 IQD (approx. 170) to buy a refrigerator.

The branch staff appeal to people of compassion to lend a helping hand to this lady and her family.
