Staff from Sadr City Branch received a distress call from Mrs Ihtissam, mother of an eleven year old child named Malak A.S. 

Ihtissam was very distressed.  Her daughter suffers from liver cancer and is in urgent need to undergo emergency surgery to remove the malignant tumour. Ihtissam herself was diagnosed with breast cancer.  She is struggling to get treatment due to her poor financial situation.

Sadly, her husband divorced her when he discovered the illnesses of both the mother and the daughter, as he was not going to afford their treatment. He took a second daughter with him when he left.  However, he passed away recently, and the poor mother, who lives well below the poverty line, is now responsible for her two daughters as well as medical needs.

This mother, burdened with worries, disease and poverty, appeals to good people to help save her innocent child.

This family is in dire need of:

- A donation of 1,000,000 IQD (approx. £700) to pay for Malak’s surgery.
- A donation of 250.000 IQD (approx. £170) to pay for treatment and medical appointments.

Please help Malak to have a chance in life by donating towards her medical costs and surgery.
