Sadr City Branch:

Staff from Sadr City branch received a distress call from Mrs. Ihtissem, the mother of the child, Malak, an 11 year old, who suffers from liver cancer and is in urgent need of surgery to remove the malignant tumour.

Mrs Ihtissem, the mother, also suffers from breast cancer and is currently receiving treatment that she cannot afford regularly due to her poor financial situation.

Her husband divorced her when he learned of her illness and their daughter's illness. He could not afford to pay for the treatment for them and so he left, taking their other daughter with him.  He died recently and the mother is now responsible for both her daughters. This family lives below the poverty line.

This mother, burdened with worries about her children, disease and poverty, appeals to kind - hearted people to help save her innocent child, Malak.

The girl is in urgent need of chemotherapy following the operation.  The doctor decided on a chemotherapy program of 13 sessions, each costing 60,000 IQD (approx. £40).

This family is in dire need of:

- A donation of 1.000.000 IQD (approx. £690) to pay for surgery.

- A donation of 250.000 IQD (approx. £170) to pay towards treatment and for medical reviews.

- A donation of 700,000 IQD (approx. £480) to cover the costs of the chemotherapy program.

Please reach out and help this poor mother to pay for the medical attention her ill daughter so desperately needs.
