Staff from the branch visited the family of (Ali,A) a virtuous man who endures poverty and survives under extremely harsh living conditions together with his four children and his mother.

The childrens’ mother deserted them.

This father has no support except for the help of good and compassionate neighbours, which is insufficient to meet their basic daily needs.

They live in a very old house which consists of one room. Some of the children have had to leave school because they have no money.

This family needs:

-        Ongoing orphan sponsorship of 25000 IQD (approx. £15) per orphan (x4) per month

-        A donation of 200000 IQD (approx. £100) to buy a cooker

-        A donation of 150000 IQD (approx. £78) to buy a washing machine

-        A donation of 300000 IQD (approx. £155) to buy a refrigerator

-        A donation of 150000 IQD (approx. £78) to buy blankets and mattresses
