Staff from the branch assessed the living conditions of the family of the widow (Hawraa .R. D).  They found that, together with her four orphaned children, Hawraa  lives in a house belonging to relatives.

One of the children suffers from severe spinal deviation, as confirmed in his medical report.  He has had several operations to cut and reposition the spinal bones.  He requires ongoing continuous medical appointments, in addition to support in providing for his other medical needs.

The oldest daughter is a university student, and the other girl and boy attend school.

This family has endured and suffered harsh living conditions, especially following the death of their father, who was the sole provider for the family.  Currently they don't have any income to pay for the son's medical needs, or to provide for their basic living requirements.

This family urgently needs:

-        Ongoing monthly medical sponsorship of 50000 IQD (approx. £25) per month to cover the       ongoing medical costs for the son.

-        A donation of 250000 IQD (approx. £130) to buy a washing machine

-        A donation of 150000 IQD (approx. £80) to buy blankets and mattresses

-        A donation of 50000 IQD (approx. £25) to buy a heater

The staff and the family appeals to good hearted and generous people to help this poor family living in poverty and sickness.
