A poor lady’s appeal to compassionate people
Our staff visited the widow (Shaima. A. A), who lives in a rural area with her three orphans. Following the accidental death by electrocution of her husband whilst at work, the family have been left destitute and are now forced to endure harsh living conditions. Staff found that the family live in a dilapidated one-room house and kitchen, the ceiling of which is made of sticks and planks of wood.
Since her husband's passing, Shaima has had no help to support her children apart from aid received from charitable people. This is not enough to meet the family's needs.
This family needs:
- Monthly sponsorship for the children of 25,000 IQD (approx. £15) for each orphan.
- A donation of 200.000 IQD (approx. £120) to buy a cooker.
- A donation of 150,000 IQD (approx. £90) to buy a washing machine
-Monthly sponsorship of 50.000 IQD (approx. £30) per month to buy basic family living commodities.
The widow's family appeals to benevolent people to help provide for some of their needs.
