Young destitute widow appeals for help.
Amongst the field visits carried out by the branch’s staff, was a visit to the widow (Zainab, S.). They found that she lives in the reception area of her older brother’s house together with her only son, who is 12 years old. Despite the difficult living conditions, her son continues with his studies. The husband and father died of pancreatic cancer. He also contracted the Corona virus.
This mother has no source of income. Her and her son are reliant on the financial help they receive from benevolent people, which they utilize towards buying food and medicine. Zainab suffers from an under active thyroid gland. She requires periodic medical treatment as this condition causes her to faint and lose control.
The family needs:
-Monthly sponsorship for her orphaned son of 50,000 IQD (approx. £30) to pay each month for his school requirements.
-Monthly sponsorship of 50,000 IQD (approx. £30) to pay for medical treatment
- A Donation of 250.000 IQD (approx. £150) to purchase an air cooler.
-A Donation of 250.000 IQD (approx. £150) to buy a cooker.
-A Donation of 150,000 IQD (approx. £90) towards purchasing for the family's needs, including mattresses, bed covers, clothes and other necessities.
Branch staff and the widow would appreciate a helping hand from benefactors so that she can provide for, guide and safely raise her son.
