Destitute mother of 7 children appeals for your help.

Staff from Sadr City Branch paid a visit to the family of Anwar, H, Gh.

They found that this widow lives in a rented house together with her seven minor children.  The cost of the monthly rental is 250,000 IQD ( approx. £140). One of the daughters suffers from Thalassemia.

This family does not have any fixed income apart from the Social Security Assistance, they receive.  The amount barely covers the cost of the house rental.  Anwar and her children are reliant on the support they receive from good hearted people for their daily needs.

This large family require many important basic essentials.  Having lived in poverty and destitution for so long, Anwar now appeals for donations from compassionate individuals to provide help and relief.

This family’s needs are:

• Ongoing orphan sponsorship of 25,000 IQD (approx. £15) per month for each orphan. (X7)
• A donation of 250,000 IQD (approx. £140) to buy a cooker (their existing one because is unusable)
• A donation of 250,000 IQD (approx. £140) to buy a washing machine.
• A donation of 150,000 IQD (approx. £85) to buy mattresses and blankets.
