Destitute family appeals to benefactors to lend a helping hand.

The branch staff visited the family of Raeda, J. A. who lives with her husband and four children in a house that lacks the most basic necessities in life.

The family does not have any source of income. Raeda’s husband used to work as a laborer for a daily wage, but because of his kidney disability, he had to leave the job. He visited many doctors to enquire about dialysis treatment, but the family does not have the money to pay for the treatment. They have no income or social security assistance. Raeda had no option but to find work collecting dates and baking.

Due to the family’s their poor finances, two of their children had to leave school.  The other two are continuing their studies. One of the children has a broken leg which required surgery.

This family needs :

• A donation of 200,000 IQD ( approx. £112 ) to buy a washing machine. 
• A donation of 100,000 IQD ( approx. £56 ) to buy winter blankets and mattresses.
