Woman severely injured in a home accident requires urgent financial support

Among the field visits carried out by the staff of the branch, was a visit to the family of Rana, S.  This woman called for help following an accident in her house.  The boiler fell over on top of her, resulting in complex fractures to the spine, and separation of the spinal cord.  This has left her body and her right leg to be completely paralysed.  

Rana was taken to the hospital, and she is in a very bad condition.  She is in need of many surgeries to save her life. Following the accident, her husband abandoned her as he was unable to pay the cost of treatment.

This woman needs:

• An urgent donation of 500,000 IQD (approx. £285) to pay for immediate medical treatment.
• Thereafter, monthly medical sponsorship of 50,000 IQD (approx. £30) to pay for ongoing treatment.

Staff from the branch and the woman appeal to people of righteousness and charity to extend a helping hand
