Widow and her five orphans seek support to overcome difficulties

Staff from the branch visited the widow Hamidah, K and her family.  They found this widow and her five children living in a single room in her husband’s family’s house, following the death of the father in a car accident.

The five children all attend school. Hamidah’s eldest son suffers from a faulty heart valve, for which he underwent a heart operation several years ago.  He is now due for medical reviews.

This family needs:

• Ongoing orphan sponsorship of 25,000 IQD (approx. £15) per month for each orphan (X5).
• A donation of 350,000 IQD (approx. £200) to buy a refrigerator.
• A donation of 150,000 IQD (approx. £90 ) to pay for the medical reviews of her sick son.
