Poor Family Suffering from Hardship and Illness Need Help

Staff from Sadr City Branch visited the family of  Zainab, M, J, who lives in a rented house costing 200,000 IQD (approx. £115) per month.  The house is located in a slum area.

Zainab has three children.  She is deaf, and her husband is both deaf and mute.  He has a small truck which he uses to collect and sell second-hand furniture, electrical appliances, and cans, as a source of income. He suffers from heart disease and has had a stroke.

The children dropped out of school because of financial restraints.  Even so, the parents are unable to provide the most basic needs of life for their children.

The family does not have any fixed source of income to help them overcome the difficulties that they are facing in life. Out of desperation they sought refuge with Al-Shakiry Charity for Social Solidarity, through whom they are now appealing to benevolent people in the name of humanity to help them and extend a helping hand.

This family needs:

• A donation of 200,000 IQD (approx. £115) to pay for medical treatment and reviews.
• A donation of 250,000 IQD (approx. £145) to buy a heater.
• A donation of 250,000 IQD (approx. £145) to buy a cooker.
