Mother Of 5 Orphans appeals for help to overcome the difficulties of life

Staff visited the widow Adawiya A.A. who lives alone with her family of 5 orphans in a rural area, following the death of her husband in a traffic accident.  

They discovered that this family endures harsh living conditions.  They live in a two-roomed house.  The roof is made of dilapidated metallic tile that does not protect them from neither the heat of summer nor the coldness of winter.

They are in a miserable situation as they do not have a breadwinner. They have registered for the Social Security Allowance, but currently their only source of income is the help they receive from good hearted people, which sadly is not enough to meet their needs. Due to their harsh living condition, most of her children left school, and only two of them are continuing with their studies.

The staff took a tour in the house and found that the ceilings, the walls, and the kitchen were noticeably damaged, and in general the home lacked the basic requirements for a normal life.

This family needs:

• Ongoing orphan sponsorship of IQD 50,000 (approx. £30) per month for each orphan. (X5)
• A donation of 300,000 IQD (approx. £175) to buy a refrigerator.
• A donation of 200,000 IQD (approx. £115) to buy a cooker.
• A donation of 50,000 IQD (approx. £30) to buy a heater.
• A family sponsorship of 50,000 IQD (approx. £30) per month to pay for the family ‘s general provisions.

The widow's family appeals to the people of goodness and charity to help her provide some of her family’s needs.
