Elderly, destitute mother begs for your support.

Staff from Karbala Branch were dismayed to discover the suffering of an elderly lady named Milkiyah SH, W.  when they recently visited her.  They found that her and her young son have been living in a house in the slums, since her husband divorced her.  She shares the house with her sister’s old husband,

The house lacks several basic amenities and they suffer many hardships in life. Currently she is living under very harsh conditions, because she has no source of income.  She does not even receive a Social Service Allowance, and is reliant on the aid she receives from kind benefactors.  This is not sufficient to meet the needs of Milkiyah and her son.

To help this family, they need:

• A donation of 250,000 IQD (approx. £145) to buy a washing machine.
• A donation of 60,000 IQD (approx. £35) to buy a cooker.
• A donation of 350,000 IQD (approx. £200) to buy a refrigerator
• Ongoing monthly family sponsorship of 50,000 IQD (approx. £30) to receive food and clothing from Shakiry Charity’s Family Program.

Staff from the Branch raises a distress call for this family to all benefactors inside and outside Iraq to please generously donate to the needs of this destitute mother and son.
