Widow and her special needs orphan seek support.

Staff visited the widow Bushra R. A who lives in a slum area with her ill orphan who has special needs.  We found out that they live under harsh conditions in a small, dilapidated house that does not protect them either from the heat of summer or from the coldness of winter.

Bushra’s husband died more than a year ago as a result of complications developing from ‘Corona Virus’. The mother and orphan have no breadwinner or social assistance income.  They rely entirely on the help they receive from charitable people.  Their situation is miserable.

Whilst on the field visit, we discovered the extent of damage to the ceilings, walls of the house, and the kitchen.  The house lacks the most basic necessities to lead a normal life.

To help this family, they need:

• Ongoing orphan sponsorship of 50,000 IQD (approx. £30) per month for each orphan (x1)
• A donation of 100,000 IQD (approx. £60) to buy medication.
• A donation of 300,000 IQD (approx. £170) to buy a refrigerator.
• A donation of 200,000 IQD (approx. £115) to buy a cooker.
• A donation of 250,000 IQD (approx. £140) to buy a washing machine.

The widow appeals to good and charitable people to help provide for some of her needs.
