Destitute family ask for support

Staff from Najaf Branch undertook a field visit to assess the conditions of Zuhoor A. B. and her family.  She lives with her husband and four children in a house in a slum area.

Upon reviewing the situation, it was established that the only source of income this family currently has is a small wage which the father earns doing daily work.  This is insufficient to meet the needs of the family.

The family lives in a dilapidated house that lacks many important basic necessities which they cannot afford to buy. They have applied to the Social Welfare Department for an allowance,  and are awaiting confirmation.  Meanwhile, despite their poverty, the children are continuing with their studies.  Zuhoor seeks support from kind donors to lend her family a helping hand.

This family are in dire, and urgent need of:

• A donation of 150,000 IQD (approx. £95) to buy an air cooler.
• A donation of 200,000 IQD (approx. £120) to buy a washing machine.
