Desperate widow appeals for mercy

Staff from Basra Branch recently visited the widow Zainab M. J. and her family. The family consists of the mother and her five children, all of whom attend school.  They live in a house in a slum area.

Zainab’s husband died due to Corona Virus.  Following his death, she took on sole responsibility for her orphaned children.   Their difficult life conditions have  left her burdened with worries and anxieties.

The family has no source of financial income.  They are completely reliant on help from benevolent people.  This is unfortunately not sufficient to meet their needs.

To support this family, they need:

• Ongoing orphan sponsorship of 25,000 IQD (approx. £15) per month for each orphan (x5).
• A donation of 100,000 IQD (approx. £60) to buy cooler fans.
• A donation of 100,000 IQD (approx. £60) to buy a boiler.
• A donation of 200,000 IQD (approx. £125) to buy a cooker.
• A donation of 300,000 IQD (approx. £190) to buy a refrigerator.

Staff and the widow's family pray that a helping hand will be reached out to them, so they might overcome some of their difficulties.
