Widow with seven orphans appeal for support

Staff from Najaf Branch visited the family of Mrs. Nadeema H. H. who live in a slum area. After her husband died of cancer, she was left to provide for her seven orphans.

This lady takes sole care of her seven children.  Some of the children attend school, and are continuing with their studies.  Due to their extreme poverty, the school principal kindly donates to pay the fees for transporting them to school.

Their home lacks the simplest means of living.  The most basic needs of the family are not met.  Nadeema has applied for a social welfare allowance, but as yet she awaits the required approvals.

This family are in need of:

• Ongoing orphan sponsorship of 50,000 IQD (approx. £30) per month for each orphan (x7).
• A donation of 100,000 IQD (approx. £60) to buy an air cooler fan.
• A donation of 200,000 IQD (approx. £125) to buy a cooker.
• A donation of 50,000 IQD (approx. £30) to buy a ceiling fan.

Staff of the branch wish that people will take compassion upon this family, and help provide for their needs.
