Mother of five orphans needs your help

Staff from the branch visited the family of the widow Hanan K. S.  They discovered that she is living under very difficult circumstances following her husband’s death due to kidney failure. She has been left solely responsible to provide for her five orphans.  One of her orphans has ‘special needs’ and needs medical treatments and supplies.

This lady lives in a rented house costing 150,000 IQD (approx. £95) per month. Their home is in a poor condition, and lacks the most basic necessities for simple living.  Despite these harsh conditions, some of her orphans still manage to attend school.

Hanan has applied for a social care allowance to help her cover the cost of some of the family’s basic living needs, as well as the cost of her daughter's medical treatments.

To help this family, they need:

• A donation of 200,000 IQD (approx. £125) to buy a cooker.
• A donation of 200,000 IQD (approx. £125) to buy an air cooler fan.
• Ongoing family sponsorship of 50,000 IQD (approx. £30) per month to secure the family needs.
