Mother of four orphans appeals to good people for help. 

Staff from Sadr City Branch paid a visit to the widow, Hawra R.D to assess the living conditions of the family.  They discovered that Hawra and her four orphans live with relatives. According to a medical report one of her children suffers from a severe spinal deformity.  The child has undergone multiple vertebral bone modifications. The problem requires ongoing supervision and treatment. 

The eldest girl is a university student, whilst another of her children is a student in the first intermediate year.  The youngest son is in the first year of primary school.

This family has been living under extremely difficult conditions, following the death of the husband, who was the sole breadwinner. Currently they do not have any source of livelihood to pay for the son’s medical needs, as well as other basic requirements for the family.

The family has launched an appeal through Al Shakiry Charity, seeking help from benevolent people. 

They urgently need:

- Medical sponsorship of 50.000 IQD (approx. £30) per month to pay for the son’s medication.

- A donation of 200.000 IQD (Approx £120) to pay for urgent medical treatment.

- A donation of 250.000 IQDs (Approx £150) to buy a washing machine. 

- A donation of 150.000 IQD (Approx £90) to buy mattresses and covers. 

- A donation of 50.000 IQD (Approx £30) to buy an oil heater.

Staff from the branch and the widow's family appeal to good people to extend a helping hand to this family, worn out through disease and poverty.
