Widow appeals for support for her children

Sadr City staff visited the widow Ahlam A. S. and her family.  They live in a rented house in a slum area.  The monthly rental is  250,000 IQD (approx. £148).

Ahlam has three children who all attend school.  The children are in need of financial support so that they can continue their education – they need to pay tuition fees and transport fees (the area they live in has no schools).

This family are living under extremely harsh and challenging conditions  due to the poverty and deprivation they suffer.  They appeal to benevolent people to help them.

In particular, this family needs:

• Ongoing orphan sponsorship of 25,000 IQD (approx. £15) per month for each orphan (X3).
• A donation of 200,000 IQD (approx. £120) to buy a washing machine.
• A donation of 250,000 IQD (approx. £150) to buy a cooker.

Sadr City staff and the Widow appeal to benevolent donors to support this family, and give these children a chance in life.
