Virtuous family appeals for a helping hand.

Staff from Najaf Branch visited the family of Ijtimaa’, who lives with her husband, five children, mother and sister in a rented house costing 150,000 IQD (approx. £90) month.  The house lacks the most basic amenities.

There is no source of income except from Ijtimaa’s husband who works as an auto rickshaw driver earning a daily wage collecting metal cans.   He suffers from a kidney disease.

Ijtimaa receives 270,000 IQD (approx. £160) per month from Social Welfare.  She used this money to pay the rent of the house, and to buy treatments and creams for burns her son suffered to his body.

Because of their poverty, two of her children dropped out of school.  The other two are continuing to study.

This family needs:

• A donation of 150,000 IQD (approx. £90) to start a small project (selling vegetables) to earn an income.
• A donation of 100,000 IQD (approx. £60) to buy medications and treatments.
• A donation of 200,000 IQD (approx. £120) to buy a cooker.
• A donation of 150,000 IQD (approx. £90) to buy an air cooler fan.

The family appeal to good people to extend a helping hand to them to overcome the difficulties in life they face.
