Elderly widow and daughter appeal for help
Staff from Basra Branch visited the home of the widow Zahra K. R. They found that she and her daughter live in a house that she inherited. This basic home lacks the most essential amenities. Zahra cannot provide these essentials due to her poverty. She does not have any source of financial income other than a basic social welfare benefit, which is not enough to meet their needs.
Zahra suffers from a chronic disease that led to a breast augmentation. She is in need of continuous monthly treatment.
And her daughter suffers from diabetes and requires ongoing treatment.
This mother and daughter suffer from extreme poverty. Their life is difficult under the harsh conditions they live. They need someone to extend a helping hand to them.
