Widow and orphans appeal for compassion

Karbala Branch staff visited the widow  Lamia A. M. and her family.  They live in a rented house costing 200,000 IQD (approx. £120), per month.  Following the death of her husband, she was left with sole responsibility of providing for, and caring for her four orphans.   Despite their severe financial situation, the orphans are continuing with their studies.

Lamia receives a social welfare benefit of 274,000 IQD (approx. £163).  Apart from this she is reliant on the financial support she receives from charitable people.

This family needs:

• A donation of 200,000 IQD (approx. £120) to buy a cooker.
• A donation of 50,000 IQD (approx. £30) to buy a water motor.
• A donation of 150,000 IQD (approx. £90) to buy an air cooler fan.

All donations to support Lamia and her orphans will be sincerely appreciated.
