Sick mother appeals for support  

Staff from the branch visited the family of the widow Asmaa Z. A.  The widow and her orphans live with her parents in an old, dilapidated house, which lacks many basic necessities, which they cannot provide due to their poverty.

They do not have any financial income except for a small allowance from social welfare, which is not enough to cover their needs.

The mother is responsible for the care and provision of her two orphans.  Both are school students.

Asmaa suffers from high blood pressure and chronic diabetes.  One of her children also suffers from diabetes.  They both need monthly treatment.

Her son earns an income selling water from a small cart.  He peddles the streets to support his family.

This family suffers from a very difficult life and harsh conditions.  They need someone to take mercy upon them and extend a helping hand. 

To help this family, they need:

• Ongoing orphan sponsorship of 25,000 IQD (approx. £15) per month for each orphan.
• A donation of 200,000 IQD (approx. £125) to buy a cooker.
• A donation of 250,000 IQD (approx. £160) to buy a washing machine.
• A donation of 300,000 IQD (approx. £190) to buy a refrigerator.

Branch staff and the family ask for charitable people to help them overcome some of their difficulties.
