Widowed mother and her orphans appeal for help  

Staff from the branch visited the widow Huda S. M.  and her family.  She lives in an agricultural area with her three orphans.  Following the death of her husband, the responsibility of caring for the children fell upon her shoulders.

The family does not have any fixed source of income to help them face the difficulties of life and its daily demands. They sought “Shakiry Charity for Social Solidarity” in an endeavor to appeal to charitable people, in the name of humanity, to extend a helping hand to them. Despite their poverty, the orphans continue to attend school.

This family receives social welfare assistance of 325,000 IQD (approx. £200) per month.  Apart from this, they are reliant on the help they receive from some charitable people.

This family needs:

• Ongoing orphan sponsorship of 50,000 IQD (approx. £30) per month for each orphan. (X3)
• A donation of 350,000 IQD (approx. £220) to buy a refrigerator.
• A donation of 50,000 IQD (approx. £30) to buy school supplies.
• A donation of 150,000 IQD (approx. £95) to buy an air cooler fan.
