Destitute mother and six orphans appeal for charitable help 

URGENT call for help for needy families 

After receiving a distress call concerning the welfare of a poor lady, Fatima J.M and her family, staff from Karbala Branch made a field visit to their home. They found that the family lives in a dilapidated dwelling in the desert of Karbala. The house is in an advanced state of ill-repair, and is falling down.  Fatima’s husband abandoned her and left her without any source of income. She suffers from diabetes. 

This family comprises the mother (who also has chronic kidney disease), and her six children, all who still attend school. They do not have any source of income, apart from the small assistance they receive.  This is not enough to meet their needs.

This family needs: 

- Ongoing monthly sponsorship for the family of 50.000 IQDS (approx. £30) per month     

- A donation of 350.000 IQD (approx. £200) to buy a refrigerator    

- A donation of 100.000 IQD (approx. £60) to provide for basic food items.   

- A donation of 200.000 IQD (approx. £115) to buy a cooker. 

- A donation of 250.000 IQD (approx. £150) to buy a washing machine

STAFF FROM THE BRANCH ARE ADDRESSING THIS DISTRESS CALL ON BEHALF OF THIS POOR FAMILY TO ALL BENEVOLENT CHARITABLE PEOPLE, BOTH LOCALLY IN IRAQ, AS WELL AS INTERNATIONALLY.

THIS FAMILY IS IN DIRE NEED OF SUPPORT.
