Sadr City Branch:

Widow and her three orphans desperately need a helping hand.

Staff from Sadr City Branch visited the widow Wijdan M D who lives with her three children in a dilapidated house in a slum area.  The house lacks many basic requirements.

Following the death of their father, this orphaned family has suffered extensively from their poor living conditions.  They do not have any source of income, and do not receive a social welfare benefit.

The children are minors.  Two of them attend school where they are outstanding pupils.  Sadly they lack many basic school supplies such as clothes, learning materials, and in addition money to pay for their transport costs between school and their home.

The desperate widow had no choice but to approach Al-Shakiry Charity for Social Solidarity to appeal for help.

The family needs:

- Monthly orphan sponsorship of 25.000 IQD (approx. £15) for each orphan (x3)

- A donation of 250.000 IQD (approx. £150) to buy a cooker.

- A donation of 200.000 IQD (approx. £120) to buy a washing machine

Our staff at Sadr City Branch, together with the Widow seek a generous benefactor to support these three orphans.
