Annual Back to School Campaign for orphans

The new school year is approaching, and pupils are preparing to return to school.  For many less fortunate students and orphans registered with Al Shakiry Charity for Social Solidarity. this can be a particularly uncertain and worrying time.

It's our belief that knowledge is the best weapon to fight poverty and illiteracy.  Knowledge forms the core pillar in building an educated population going forward into the future.

Sadr City Branch has launched a special humanitarian campaign seeking donations to clothe needy students.  We invite benefactors and philanthropists to contribute by donating what they can afford in order to equip children from poor families, and families of orphans, with school uniforms and stationery.

Donations can be In-kind school supplies or cash donations of 50.000 IQD (approx. £30), which will enable a family to equip a child with clothes and stationery.

We trust that compassionate people, who follow our humanitarian work, will not hesitate to support this cause to provide a bright future for a less fortunate child.
