Needy family seeks help from benefactors

Staff from Basra Branch visited the family of the poor lady Sandy A.A.  

The family consists of six members, living together in rented accommodation, for which they pay 250.000 IQD (approx. £150) per month. Three of the children are still in education.  The family live under very difficult conditions, and they need a helping hand. 

Sandy’s husband is unable to make ends meet, due to his poor health. He used to work in construction but he resigned, and now he works to earn a daily wage as a taxi driver. His income is minimal, and he is unable to provide for the family's needs in terms of rent and supporting the children.

This family lacks the most basic household needs, and struggles to provide school supplies to allow their children to attend school.  In desperation they sought help from Basra Branch.  They earnestly appeal to benefactors for assistance. 

This family needs:

- A donation of 150.000 IQD (approx. £90) to purchase blankets and bedding.

- A donation of 200.000 IQD (approx. £120) to buy a washing machine.

We ask benevolent people to please help alleviate some small part of this family's hardship.
