Poor family and their sick son need a helping hand

Staff from Sadr City Branch visited the family of a poor lady A.W.G.  She lives with her husband and three children in rented accommodation which lacks many basic necessities.

The husband works, earning daily wages that are not enough to cover the cost of living and rent. The wife suffers from chronic stomach ulcers and a tumour in the stomach.  She also has a hernia of the eyebrow. She needs medical reviews and treatments, which the family cannot afford to provide.

The youngest son of the family suffers from cerebral atrophy, and cerebral palsy.  He has difficulty moving.  According to the medical report submitted to us, he also has a neurotic bladder and ureteral obstruction.

This family, drained by poverty and disease, have many life and medical needs, which the father cannot provide for, in addition to the house rental costs. In desperation they turned to Al-Shakiry Charity, Sadr City Branch, to appeal for help.

This family needs:

- Ongoing monthly medical sponsorship of 50.000 IQD (approx. £30) per month.

- A donation of 250.000 IQD (approx. £150) to pay for medical reviews.

- A donation of 150.000 IQD (approx. £90) to buy mattresses and blankets.

- A donation of 250.000 IQD (approx. £150) to buy a cooker.
