Suffering mother and her two orphans appeal to benefactors for help

 

Staff from Basra Branch visited the family of the widow Huda A. A.  The family consists of three members: the mother and her two children who are still in education.  They live in a house belonging to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, for which Huda pays a monthly rent. 

Her husband died two years ago and left her with the responsibility of the orphans.  They are facing extremely harsh conditions and are in dire need of a helping hand.

Their home lacks the most basic necessities which Huda cannot provide. 

This family needs: 

- Ongoing monthly orphan sponsorship of 25.000 IQD (approx. £15) per orphan (x2) per month.

- A donation of 150.000 IQD (approx. £90) for the purchase of a cooker.

- A  donation of 200.000 IQD (approx. £120) to buy a washing machine.

- A donation of 300.000 IQD (approx. £1800 to buy a freezer.

We hope that people of compassion and mercy will reach out to provide aid to this family, to enable them overcome some of their hardships.
