Widow and her two children appeal for help

Staff from the Branch visited the widow Amal H.A and her family. The family consists of three members, the mother and her two orphans. They live in a modest house donated to them, by a benevolent person, for a limited period.  They previously lived in a house in the slum area, but the roof fell in on them, so they had to vacate the house. 

Following the death of the husband, the family remained without any source of livelihood or income, except for charitable support from people of humanity.  Their home lacks the most basic household necessities, which Amal cannot provide due to their difficult financial situation.

Amal requires an eye operation, but she doesn't have money to pay for it. She suffers from continuous pain.

In addition, one of her sons suffers from "heart disease" and "kidney problems" and is in need of medical attention.

This family is going through very harsh conditions and they need a helping hand. 

To help this family, they need:

- Ongoing monthly sponsorship of 25.000 IQD (approx. £15) per orphan (x2) per month

- A donation of 100.000 IQ (approx. £60) to purchase mattresses.

- A donation of 100.000 IQD (approx. £60) to purchase an oven and an electric mixer.

- A donation of 150.000 IQD (approx. £90) to buy a cooker.

- A donation of 200.000 IQD (approx. £120) to buy a washing machine.

We hope that people of mercy and compassion will reach out and help this family of orphans out of their hardship.
