Family suffering from poverty and disease appeal for compassion

Staff from the Branch visited a poor lady Manal A.A and her family.  This family, mother, father and three children are experiencing great hardship.

They live with the husband’s family, in a house in the slum area. The husband works as a "construction worker" earning a minimal daily wage.  They have no other source of income, except for the occasional aid they receive from well-meaning benefactors.  This is not enough to make ends meet. They family has applied for a social welfare benefit and are still waiting.


One of their daughters suffers from "brain cell damage" and needs medical treatments and medication.

This family are in need of:

- Medical sponsorship of 50.000 IQD (approx. £30) per month to pay for treatment for the daughter.

- A donation of 200.000 IQD (approx. £120) to buy a washing machine

- A donation of 200.000 IQD (approx. £120) to buy a cooker.

The branch staff appeals to all people of compassion to help this family overcome their difficult circumstances.
